MEfA Montessori School is for children aged 2 - 9 years (and often their parents too!)

Why Montessori?

"Montessori is a way of life, a philosophy about how human beings might live their lives and treat one another; it is an attitude of respect and encouragement .... " Teach Your Montessori Baby to Communicate, Wendy Fidler, Montessori International Magazine, 2005

MEfA Montessori School is a fully inclusive class for children of all abilities and learning styles. Research shows that very early indications of learning difficulties are best resolved by interventions at an early age.

Most parents attend with their children - as a result they are in a very good position to reflect on our activities and develop similar opportunities at home.

Special emphasis is given to sensory awareness and integration, postural control, and social, communication and language development.

Children aged between 24 months and 9 years are invited with their parents to classes as follows:

  • Tuesday mornings 09:30 - 11:30
  • Wednesday mornings 09:30-11:30  followed by Montessori Dance 11:35 - 12:00
  • Thursday afternoons 13:00-15:00

To register an interest or join the waiting list please call Wendy on 07710 433 994.

All families are required to be members of the the charity - annual membership is £10.00 per year payable at the beginning of the academic year (i.e. September) or when your child commences.

Fees: £20 per preschool child for the two hour session. Siblings over 1 year of age = £10

All classes are payable half-termly in advance.

All the teachers at all of our programmes are either MEfA Montessori graduates, or are currently studying for the MEfA Montessori post graduate certificate, or are currently Interns with MEfA Montessori.
